The 9090 is not just the first stove top espresso coffee maker in history: it used to be also first object for the kitchen after the 1930s, the first of many Compasso d’Oro awards (1979), first object to be inducted into the Permanent Design Collection at the New York MOMA, and naturally it’s the most efficient-loved Alessi coffee maker bar none, in addition to first “amphibious object”, i.e. it’s for kitchen use, but with its high design quality it can be brought immediately to the table.
